Laurent Buson, also known by his nickname Lohan, is a French actor, martial artist, action choreographer, and film producer, born on November 10, 1978, in Paris, France. From a young age, Buson was passionate about martial arts and gymnastics. Inspired by a Shaolin monks' demonstration during his teenage years, he pursued rigorous training at the Shaolin Monastery in China under Shi Yong Xu from 2000 to 2001. He furthered his martial arts education at the Beijing Sport University, earning a degree in Wushu and achieving first place in Male Duilian (three-man fight choreography) during the university's 2002 ranking competition. In 2003, Buson co-founded the Z Team, a martial arts action group based in China. He co-choreographed and starred in the team's short films, including Duel (2004) and Brothers Forever (2005), both of which received nominations at the Action on Film International Film Festival. Buson also appeared as Luc, a human trafficker, in the award-winning feature film Merantau (2009).
