We are proud to share "Star Wars: Hand of the Empire," a thrilling fan film set several years before the Battle of Yavin. In this story, a Stormtrooper unit led by Captain Quarrie is on a mission to capture the Emperor's missing experiment on the forest planet of Cilpar. Facing resistance from the Cilpar natives, the Stormtroopers are joined by spec ops and Mandalorian mercenaries in their search. However, the Rebellion is also on Cilpar, seeking the same package, making it a race against time and adversaries. In 2015, the creators of this film met Phillip Parks, a 13-year-old boy battling brain cancer, whose wish was to be a Stormtrooper. After his passing, his brother Ben honored him by appearing in this film wearing Phillip's costume. This film was created in Phillip's memory to bring attention to Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville, KY, and children's cancer. We extend our deepest thanks to everyone who contributed to this project, which features handmade props and costumes, minimal CGI, and an original musical score by Joe Stockton.
